THE HERD
The Lakewood herd was established in 1996 with the purchase of 2 in-calf heifers from Rawburn. Numbers have been slowly built up to a total of 55 including 3 bulls.
Performance recording began in 2004 under Breedplan (previously Signet), and has made vast strides in management especially with regard to feeding, health status, biosecurity and of course breeding efficiency and genetics.
We breed all heifer replacements with careful consideration to EBVs for AI and for stock bulls chosen. Past herd sires include: Rawburn Transformer, Nightingale Panther, Princely U113 of Newcairnie,
